Welcome
Welcome to the homepage of Professor MJ Manefield. He is co-founder and former Director of the Joint Academic Microbiology Seminars (JAMS Inc), author of a series of illustrated children's books on microbiology (Micronovo Pty Ltd) and founder of Novorem Pty Ltd supporting industry with environmental microbiology expertise. He holds a Professorial appointment in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) teaching environmental science and engineering and researching pollutant biodegradation, biogas production, isoprene metabolism and wastewater treatment. He sits on committees for the Australasian Land and Groundwater Association and is a Senior Editor for the International Society for Microbial Ecology Journal.
As part of my effort to raise awareness of microbiology in the general population I commissioned this artwork by Shira Bentley and made it into a jigsaw puzzle. There are 500 piece and 48 piece versions available depending on skill level.
